The Perrin Cold Air Intake System has been designed to be a direct replacement of your factory restricitve airbox. Perrin has deisgned this intake system to use proper mAF alignment as well as plumbing size to ,maintain a proper air fuel ratio, as well as preventing any check engine lights. This intake system features a smooth aluminum intake pipe that reduces turbulence to promote better airflow throughout the entire RPM band. This pipe has also been powder-coated for extra protection against rust and corrosion. Air is filtered through a premium oiled dryflow filter. This filter is also serviceable for years of use.
Heat is defelcted from the filter with the provided heat shield. You engine bay can produce some pretty hot engine temperatures, and the heat shield has been desiged to allow the filter to breathe in near ambient air temperatures.
Once this intake is installed, you can expect improved throttle response, and increases in both horsepower and torque. Additionally, you will notice an improved growl under wide open acceleration.
